AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — West Texas A&M University Athletics announced that it will begin a new tradition “806 Day” on Feb. 8 at the First United Bank Center. This new event aims to honor the culture, landmarks, and pride of the 806-area code.
WT’s boys basketball team along with its girls basketball team will host Angelo State in Texas Panhandle inspired uniforms. This concept is similar to the NBA’s City Edition jerseys displaying the region’s history and esthetics.
