A tragic shooting at a nightclub in Amarillo, Texas, early Sunday left one person dead and eight others injured. The incident unfolded at around 2:05 a.m. when multiple 911 calls flooded the Amarillo Emergency Communications Center, reporting gunfire at a club on S. Polk Street.
Police rushed to the scene to find nine people had been shot. Six victims were immediately taken to the hospital, while others arrived on their own. Sadly, 25-year-old John Love Louima, who had been shot multiple times, passed away from his injuries. The other victims are still receiving medical care, though their conditions remain unclear.
The chaos reportedly began when a car pulled up to the nightclub, and someone stepped out, opening fire on a large group of people before quickly fleeing in the same vehicle.
