All of Texas couldn’t wait until they took away state inspections, but the question I have heard from many Texans is: Do we still get the physical registration sticker?

Everyone in the Lonestar State was excited when Texas announced they would do away with vehicle safety inspections in 2025. Granted there are some exceptions.
Some counties will require emissions tests. Emissions tests will be needed for most major cities with high pollution including Brazoria, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Montgomery, Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Rockwall, Tarrant, Travis, Williamson, and El Paso Count.
Even though non-commercial vehicles don’t require a safety inspection, the inspection fee will be added to your registration fee…
