Dangerously cold temperatures will impact Amarillo and the Panhandle for the next couple days. Daytime highs are expected to remain in the teens Tuesday and Wednesday, with overnight lows in the single digits, possibly dipping below zero.
The wind chill factor will make it feel 20 degrees or more colder than it really is. Pets should be brought inside. Open cabinet doors and trickle faucets just to be safe.
