Amarillo Fire Department responds to mobile home fire on N Dallas

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Amarillo Fire Department responded to a structure fire early Thursday morning involving a vacant single-wide mobile home located on North Dallas Street.

According to AFD officials, crews found the home fully engulfed in flames upon arrival however, no nearby structures were threatened. Officials noted that AFD dispatched six vehicles and 18 personnel to the scene and Engine 747 assumed command, initiating a defensive fire attack while Ladder 7 assisted with fire attack and overhaul operations.

AFD also noted that Engine 6 provided a tank water supply, and Engine 4 was staged until released by command. No injuries were reported among residents or firefighters and AFD estimates approximately $2,500 in property loss with no reported content losses.
