Overnight temperatures will be milder than recent nights due to warmer air aloft and southerly winds picking up to 10-15 mph. These winds will help keep temperatures from dropping too much, with most areas staying in the low to mid-30s. Only spots with lighter winds could see temperatures dip into the upper 20s.
On Monday, a low-pressure system will develop over Eastern New Mexico. Its exact position will determine how warm the afternoon gets. If it stays further north, warm westerly winds will push temperatures higher. However, if it shifts south, cooler northerly winds could keep temperatures lower.
