CANYON, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Today was the Meet of Champions track meet at Dick Bivins Stadium and one Canyon Lady Eagle blazed through the track. Canyon’s Addyson Bristow ran the fastest high school girls 800-meter time in the county.
Canyon girls track & field on pace to have another outstanding season
Bristow turned in a mark of 2:06:63 in the 800-meter and was not satisfied with just that, she later dominated in the mile run, earning a meet record finish of 4:59:47.
Following her record-breaking performances, Bristow stated:
“I’m so happy to be at this point to where I just keep improving. Me and my teammates been pushing each other so much this season in our workouts, and I’m so excited to be able to see it on paper, so it’s amazing,” said Bristow.”The first day the goal was for me to break the record the second day my coach had wanted me to break the record again. So I was like, okay, just, you know, beat myself. And that’s something that I’ve really been working on anyway so that was my goal just to beat myself today.”…
