Amarillo Fire rescue driver from semi who drove into a store on Sunday

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Amarillo Fire Department reported that a driver removed from a semi-truck was injured after driving into a business in west Amarillo.

According to AFD, at 12:57 a.m. on March 23, Amarillo Fire received an alarm regarding the incident. AFD said crews arrived two minutes later to discover somebody had driven a semi-truck into the Batteries Plus store on I-40 and Paramount.

CPD investigating early morning shooting at residence

AFD said crews began removing the driver at around 1:01 a.m. and completely removed the driver 18 minutes later using rescue tools. Officials detailed that, the driver was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

Officials said the driver’s condition was unknown and significant damage was caused to the store. AFD added that no other injuries were reported in this incident…
