Amarillo Buc-ee’s gets a vibrant new mural, Blank Spaces celebrates 96th project

Amarillo’s Buc-ee’s has unveiled a stunning new mural created by Blank Spaces, marking the completion of the organization’s 96th project. The mural, which celebrates the culture and spirit of both Amarillo and Buc-ee’s, was completed last week after months of collaboration.

Sean Kennedy, Executive Director of Blank Spaces, shared that Buc-ee’s reached out to his organization several months ago to submit a bid for the mural. After competing with other regional and out-of-state companies, Blank Spaces was selected to bring the mural to life.

“We thought it was a really solid design,” Kennedy said. “It was different from what we would have typically done, which brought unique challenges. The design had a bit of an unrefined, sketchy style that required us to figure out how to adapt it for such a large-scale project.”…
