Woman accused of killing El Paso Uber driver found dead ahead of rescheduled trial

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The woman accused of shooting and killing her Uber driver in El Paso has died.

Phoebe Copas had been accused of shooting and killing her Uber driver, Daniel Piedras Garcia, in June 2023 when she was visiting El Paso from Kentucky.
