Amarillo man indicted on drug, gun possession charges

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — An Amarillo man was indicted on four charges related to alleged drugs and gun possession.

Jason Dirks was charged with “Possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine,” “Possession with intent to distribute fentanyl,” “Possession of firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime,” and “Convicted felon in possession of a firearm.”

The alleged crimes were reported to have happened earlier in March during a traffic stop and later during a search of Dirks’s home.
