ALBUQUERQUE, NM – April 1, 2025 – A major weather shift is set to impact New Mexico later this week, bringing heavy snowfall to the mountains, strong winds in the south, and record-low temperatures across the eastern half of the state, according to the National Weather Service office in Albuquerque, NM.
According to the National Weather Service in Albuquerque, gusty winds and blowing dust will taper off by Tuesday evening. However, a powerful Pacific storm system will move in late this week, delivering widespread precipitation. The Tusas and Sangre de Cristo Mountains are expected to receive several inches of snow, while eastern New Mexico could see temperatures plummet 15 to 35 degrees below normal by Saturday.
