AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Amarillo Zoo welcomed families today for its annual Easter “Egg-Citement” celebration.
Despite the chilly weather, visitors came out in full force to enjoy Easter egg hunts, face painting, and up-close animal encounters. Local vendors lined the zoo’s pathways, handing out candy and snapping photos with the Easter Bunny.
United Family stores closed on Easter Sunday
The event, which had been running for nearly a decade, featured game stations, safari shows, and special Easter-themed enrichment treats for the animals. Zoo officials say turnout was even higher than a typical Saturday, showing just how much the community enjoys this spring tradition.
The zoo will be closed tomorrow in observance of Easter, but if you missed today’s celebration, don’t worry—more events are planned throughout the year. Keep an eye on the Amarillo Zoo’s website and social media for updates…
