Rain chances throughout the week

From Meteorologist Brian James: Rain is still falling this morning in the panhandles, but it`ll start wrapping up by late morning as the weather system responsible for it moves out. Once the rain clears, sunshine will return this afternoon, and temperatures will climb back into the 60s. Monday looks dry and calm, too, with even warmer temperatures expected, with highs in the 70s and 80s.

Things start to change on Tuesday though. Moisture from the gulf begins to work its way back into the region, bringing a decent chance for rain and storms. This sets the stage for a wetter pattern through the end of the week and possibly into next week. Multiple small weather systems could sweep through, bringing daily rain and thunderstorms, especially from Tuesday through Thursday.

Tuesday looks like a prime day for strong to severe storms, depending on when the moisture arrives. If it gets here early enough, there`s a good shot at thunderstorm development, with enough instability to support supercells. While tornado chances are low, large hail and strong winds are definitely on the table…
