As the year 2024 was winding down in Amarillo, there were still a lot of good things happening in our city. Those good things continued into 2025. We, of course, got our much-anticipated Buc-ee’s location.
We have had restaurants that have announced openings and we watched as they opened up or are about to. The circle of life in Amarillo. Businesses open and close all of the time.
Then there are those that just never open. Back in early December, we found out about a restaurant in Amarillo that was getting a second location. Marisco’s El Big Boy on 6th has seen a lot of success, so they were in the early stages of taking over an empty building on Paramount for a second location.
They branded the building by just painting a mural on the side of the building. The sign for El Bracero was still there but Marisco’s marked their territory. They were hoping to have the new location open by February of this year at the latest…
