AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — The newly appointed Amarillo Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) Board of Directors was sworn in and immediately began their work, marking a fresh start after months of controversy involving the organization and the city council.
Three new members, Dean Crump, Elliot McKinney and Alex Fairly, officially joined the board following the resignation of four out of five previous members. The resignations were prompted by a contentious $750,000 payment to a startup global food hub known as The Range.
