Amarillo hosts lighting ceremony for restored Center City Gateway Arches

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The City of Amarillo announced it will host an official lighting ceremony on May 20 for the newly restored Center City Gateway Arches, which will colorfully illuminate a major thoroughfare into the downtown area.

As noted in previous reports, the restoration project began in September 2024.

As detailed by the city, the restoration includes LED lights that will allow the arches to display a variety of colors, including red, white, blue and green lights for festive settings during the July 4 holiday and the Christmas season.
