AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Potter County 181st District Judge Titiana Frausto sentenced a man to life in prison without the possibility of parole for killing his cellmate.
Cornelius Harper was found guilty of “Capital Murder.” Harper was reported to have killed his cellmate Silvino Nunez in April 2020.
Amarillo Police investigating shooting in south Amarillo Tuesday
Documents report that Harper bound Nunez and strangled him, then staged his body so he would not be found dead.
