Potter County Fire-Rescue urges caution despite Burn Ban Lift

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Potter County Fire-Rescue is urging residents to remain cautious with fire-related activities, despite the recent lifting of the countywide burn ban.

Officials said the decision to lift the ban was based on state index numbers that no longer met the required threshold. However, conditions remain dangerously dry, and the risk of wildfires is still high.
