AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Junior League of Amarillo made a check presentation for the Safe Haven Baby Box Program.
The Junior League donated 5,000 to the Safe Haven Program on Tuesday. The money will be used to build the box that is going into one of the local fire stations.

Officials said funds are still be raised for the upkeep of the box and necessary supplies.
“We just want to be able to provide a safe alternative to local moms, we hope the box doesn’t need to be used but if it is used, we want it to just be an option for moms in the community or moms in surrounding towns just that they know its available,” said Molly Nelson…
