AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – After an active Wednesday, our First Alert Weather Team recaps some of the severe storms they saw across the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles.
Texas Panhandle:
Storms moved into the Texas Panhandle northwest of Dalhart, but they weakened as they approached the team.
We followed one stronger storm that started north of Stratford and chased it east to near Borger before heading back towards Amarillo.
The hail core got pretty intense with that storm as it redeveloped, so I got to see some green alongside the arcus cloud. We didn’t see any hail; we made sure to avoid those hail cores throughout the evening…
