Man indicted for alleged meth possession, trafficking in Amarillo Federal Court

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – One man was indicted in Amarillo Federal Court on Tuesday on three charges related to drug trafficking, after allegedly being found with methamphetamine and a gun in April.

Federal court documents said 28-year-old Tristin Reyes Riojas was arrested by the Randall County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday and indicted by a grand jury on charges including:

  • Conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine;
  • Possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine; and
  • Possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

The indictment comes after April 12 and April 14 incidents in which Riojas allegedly worked with others to possess and distribute methamphetamine while also allegedly possessing a gun, according to court documents.
