We are waking up to a partly cloudy sky with lows in the humid 60’s. As the day unfolds, a mostly sunny sky is expected with southeasterly winds of 5 to 20 mph. Temperatures will respond, warming up into the 90’s this afternoon. Amarillo should top out near 93. Tomorrow, Father’s Day, looks like it will heat up into the mid to upper 90’s.
Also, scattered thunderstorms are possible for tonight and tomorrow night. Some severe weather could occur with pockets of hail, high winds, and heavy rainfall. The tornado threat seems to be very low but never let your guard down with severe storms. Stay ‘weather aware’ and seek substantial shelter if a thunderstorm is nearby…
