AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – Our Blood Institute announced it is facing a critical shortage heading into the summer. Officials said donations are down by more than 160 units, and the need for blood among area patients remains high.
OBI said it is offering a special summer incentive to donors, including a free Rescue T-shirt and a ticket to a theme park.
“We’re asking our community to step up and make a lifesaving difference,” a spokesperson said. “Every donation helps patients right here in our hospitals.”
