TxDOT discusses Amarillo’s Faces of Drunk Driving campaign on Today in Amarillo

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Texas Department of Transportation’s public information officer Jason Britsch joined Today in Amarillo to talk about the ‘Faces of Drunk Driving’ campaign.

The campaign showcases first-person testimonials from drunk driving offenders and survivors. According to TxDOT, a quarter of total traffic fatalities in Texas in 2024 were DUI-alcohol related.

Britsch adds that ahead of the July 4 weekend, there will be increased law enforcement on the lookout for drunk drivers.
