Amarillo man arrested after methamphetamine allegedly mailed to Arizona in 2024

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – One man was recently arrested on federal charges after allegedly sending a package containing 19.5 pounds of methamphetamine through the mail to Phoenix, Arizona in November 2024.

According to court documents, Jeremiah Eziekel Macias was allegedly identified through fingerprints after a package containing 19.5 pounds of methamphetamine, labeled with an Amarillo address, was found at a UPS store in Phoenix in November 2024.

Macias was indicted in Arizona on May 12, according to court documents, for alleged transport or sale of a dangerous drug into the state. On May 21, documents said Macias was arrested at his home in Amarillo and allegedly told officers that he packaged and sent the methamphetamine to Arizona after being directed by another person.

Macias was arrested on one count of alleged “conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine” in Amarillo Federal Court on June 5…
