What’s Next in Amarillo’s Busy Summer

On July 26, 2025, there are going to be cardboard boat races in Amarillo, Texas. It’s an all-ages event that Amarillo Parks and Rec is putting on, and it sounds like a lot of fun.

For the event, you’ll need to gather a crew and get really creative. You’ll need to build a boat using nothing but cardboard and duct tape. Once your boat is built, you’ll test it on the waters of South East Pool.

How to Build Your Cardboard Boat
