Lake Meredith preparing for Independence Day celebration

FRITCH, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – Across the High Plains, many July 4th celebrations are happening, and Lake Meredith National Recreation Area is getting ready for theirs.

On July 5th, the Independence Day celebration will take place at the Lake Meredith National Recreation Area, featuring events such as a boat parade, fireworks, and a movie at the amphitheater.

“The friends group decided to have ours here on the fifth to give everybody a chance to celebrate in the surrounding communities and then come here to the Lake Meredith community on Saturday to have a great Independence Day celebration,” said Eric Smith, superintendent of Lake Meredith National Recreation Area.
