One person was hospitalized and a suspect was arrested Thursday, July 3, after an earlier drive-by shooting in Randall County led to a SWAT standoff in Amarillo.
Deputies with the Randall County Sheriff’s Office responded around 7:20 a.m. to the 11000 block of Double D Road, near East Farm-to-Market Road 1151 and Yellow Rock Events, where they found a person with a gunshot wound to the head. The individual was taken to a local hospital; information on their condition has not yet been released.
Based on evidence at the scene, deputies identified a possible suspect vehicle and its owner. A traffic stop was conducted soon after, but the suspect was not inside the vehicle, authorities said…
