AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Family Support Services hosted the 30th Annual Original Harley Party Saturday.
The event featured live music, food tastings from local restaurants, cold beverages, and vendor booths. Harley Party is the largest fundraising event for FSS. Director of Behavioral Health and Wellness Kathy Tortoreo shared that the planning committee has around 20-25 members, with around 200 volunteers working to put the event on.
“It takes a lot of work, planning over approximately six months, getting sponsors, getting volunteers, putting the word out so that people will purchase tickets, knowing that this is an agency that works within this city, providing services and needed help to members of our community, members of the surrounding communities, people that have suffered, people that are victims of crime, people that experience abuse in many different forms,” said Tortoreo…
