One teen dead after early morning shooting in Northwest Amarillo

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Amarillo Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting that resulted in the death of a teen in northwest Amarillo.

According to APD, on July 27, officers responded to the area of Northwest 2nd and North Adams after receiving calls at around 4:18 a.m. on a possible shooting. APD added that dispatch received multiple calls regarding gunshots in the area. Officials said callers also reported that one person had been shot in a vehicle.

On arrival, officers located a Damarian Grear, 18, inside a car with an apparent gunshot wound. Grear was pronounced dead at the scene…
