AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — AMACON is returning to the Amarillo Civic Center this weekend.
The two-day event will feature all kinds of activities for the family, including a cosplay contest, escape room, video game tournament and more.
Stacy Clopton, with the Amarillo Public Library, says the event has come a long way since its start in 2012, “We started in 2012, and we were uh tiny, we were in one exhibit hall, and we lasted one day. Since then, you know, we last two days, we take over the entire north half of the Civic Center. We’re four giant exhibit halls and it’s really a fantastic opportunity to have a good time. It’s a very family-friendly event and we are totally affordable.”…
