The Amarillo City Council Approved a new Fire Station for Northwest Amarillo. At their July 22nd meeting, the Amarillo City Council voted unanimously to award a $7.39 million contract to Plains Builders, Inc. for the construction of Fire Station 14. The new station will be located at 810 Quail Creek Drive in northwest Amarillo. Fire Station 14 will be a two-story facility designed specifically for the sloped terrain at the site. The station will house a two-company response team and will include a conference and training space that will be utilized by the entire Amarillo Fire Department.
