AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The Dean Boyd Law Firm brought back its backpack giveaway for another year to help ensure that students are prepared to hit the classrooms.
“So we started doing this kind of on a small basis three years ago, and my team absolutely loves doing this, and each year it has grown. Well, this year kind of exploded,” added Attorney Dean Boyd. “I think the first time we did it, you know, we had 100 backpacks, or something like that. Last year, we ran out really quickly.”

Boyd added that he did not grow up with much himself, so it’s a great feeling to see the children come with smiles on their faces as they grab a backpack.
“When I see the little kids coming in that are so thankful and happy to have them, but especially the parents,” added Boyd. “The parents that aren’t having to spend the money for that, you know, they got enough stuff to spend money on, so it really touches my heart. I enjoy it.”…
