AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – A man accused of allegedly kidnapping a woman after shooting at her and a security guard on June 29 was arrested on Thursday on multiple charges, according to records filed in Potter County.
41-year-old Carlos Vidana-Najera was arrested and booked into Potter County Jail on Thursday on two counts of alleged aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of alleged aggravated kidnapping with a deadly weapon.

Vidana-Najera was reported as wanted by the Amarillo Police Department on June 29 after allegedly firing an AR-style rifle at a woman and allegedly shooting at and injuring a security guard who had been trying to intervene. He allegedly forced the woman into a pickup truck at gunpoint and drove away. Both the woman and pickup truck were later found in Lubbock by law enforcement, but Vidana-Najera remained wanted at the time.
