Man injured after shooting in apartment complex on Saturday

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Amarillo Police Department reports that one person was injured after an alleged dispute over a girlfriend at an Amarillo apartment complex on Saturday.

According to an APD press release, officers were called to the Indian Trail Apartments, located in the 4100 block of Prairie Avenue, regarding a shooting that resulted in injuries.

On arrival, APD said they found a 20-year-old man injured from gunshot wounds to his leg and upper body. Officials said the shooter in the incident was also on scene when officers arrived, rendering aid to the injured man.

APD said officers discovered that the shooting stemmed from a dispute over a girlfriend. The injured man was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition…
