Amarillo Police recover $80,000 in stolen property, 1 arrested

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Amarillo Police Department released information regarding a search warrant that resulted in the recovery of $80,000 worth of stolen retail merchandise.

According to APD, detectives from the department’s Theft and Burglary Squad served a search warrant at a home on Tampa Bay Avenue earlier this week. APD said during the investigation, Adam Moreno was arrested for “Organized Retail Theft.”

Officials explained that this case has been under investigation for several months and was completed with the help of the department’s Narcotics Division, DPS CID agents, Property Division, and Patrol officers.
