There was a big turnout at the new Toot’n Totum No. 27 store at 734 N. Taylor in Amarillo on Thursday morning, Aug. 28. Vendors were busy handing out chips, drinks, and snacks along with Toot’n Totum shirts and barbeque by Mitch’s BBQ.
Many of those attending the grand opening celebration signed up for chance to win 25 gallons of gas at 75 cents a gallon in a digital scratch-off game, along with other specials by downloading their app and registering.
Even Ruckus, the Amarillo Sod Poodles mascot, and the company’s drink fountain mascot Sips joined in the celebration of the new store built during Toot’n Totum’s 75th year of operation. The Amarillo Hispanic Chamber of Commerce was also a large presence at the event.
