PARMER COUNTY, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Texas Department of Public Safety reported that one man is dead after a Saturday morning crash in Parmer County.
According to TxDPS, the preliminary investigation found that 73-year-old Ricky Richardson of Canyon was driving a semi-truck on Saturday morning, traveling westbound on US 60. For an unknown reason, the truck left the roadway, crossed the center median, and entered the eastbound lanes before ending up in a ditch. It ultimately collided with a railroad crossing house and gate mechanism.

Officials noted Richardson was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash.
