When QuikTrip opened up in Amarillo with two locations, it was something that created major competition with any convenience store in its way. Toot’n Totum found that out the hard way with their location at Bell & Arden, and within a year of QT being open, that location was shut down.
The building went up for sale, and it only took about a month or so for it to be purchased. There was a lot of conversation and chatter about what might open there. One of the most guessed things was another coffee shop.

Listing Agent For Store Gives No Info
Well, I was curious as well, and I reached out to the agent who ultimately sold the property. The agent never reached back out to let us know who had purchased it. Doing some digging on who purchased it was coming up empty.
I did another check today through the Potter-Randall Appraisal District website, and some new info has populated on the site. However, it wasn’t conclusive at first glance. Time to do some investigative work.
Who Purchased The Building At 7149 Bell St
According to the site, the deed to the building officially changed hands on August 7, 2025. The previous owner, John T. Smithee transferred ownership to PWRW Capital, LLC. Well, that didn’t tell us a whole lot. What is PWRW Capital? That could literally be anything. Let’s keep digging into it…
