AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — More than 150 individuals with special needs got to be cowboys and cowgirls for a day at the Exceptional Rodeo on Saturday.
Hosted by ADVO Companies and the Tri-State Fair, the event gave participants a chance to try rodeo activities like barrel racing and dummy roping.

“We’re so excited for doing our second annual Exceptional Rodeo,” said Jeremy Bradford, vice president of ADVO Companies. “We get about 150 individuals with special needs to this event each year, and they just love it. They are in their world. They’re having fun. They get to do events like dummy roping, barrel racing and Bronco busting, so they have a blast.”
