Former Potter County corrections officer awarded Officer of the Year

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) –  Hayden McAdams, a former Potter County corrections officer, was honored on Sept. 6 by the Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas as the Officer of the Year for Region 5.

According to officials, McAdams was honored because of his actions on the night of Jan. 6, 2025, during the shooting that occurred on Polk Street. Officials stated that representatives received the award from the Potter County Law Enforcement Association on his behalf.

McAdams will be presented the award by the Sheriff and President of the Potter County Law Enforcement Association on Sept. 10.
