2 Amarillo men plead guilty to 2022 murder

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — According to court documents, two men pleaded guilty to murder charges stemming from a 2022 incident.

As was previously reported on Myhighplains, in September 2022, three people were alleged to have shot and killed Adam Maes, 17, during a robbery. Maes’s body was found at an apartment complex in the 2800 block of North Grand Street.

Both Javonne and Kezabien were originally indicted in 2023 along with a third person, but the charges were dismissed in January 2024. The charges against Javonne and Kezabien were re-filed on Feb. 14.
