AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – The Don Harrington Discovery Center (DHDC) is offering half-day and full-day camps with TEKS-aligned curriculum to families in need of childcare on Fridays.
Discovery Fridays will be offered almost every Friday starting on Sept. 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with pre-care and after-care options available.
DHDC says the camp was started to meet the needs of nearby school districts that have switched to four-day school weeks, but are also an extended learning opportunity for children who are homeschooled or otherwise outside of a traditional classroom on Fridays…
