CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M cross country continued to impress on Saturday morning as the #11 Buffs and #2 Lady Buffs both claimed third place finishes at the SWAGS Louisville Cross Country Classic at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky.
The Buffs started the morning by picking up 149 points in the 8K race, placing three runners inside of the Top-30 at the illustrious event. The men’s field consisted of 326 runners as the Buffs ran a total time of 2:01:49.30 to average 24:21.86 per runner.
Adrian Legarreta led the way for the Buffs with time of 23:52.3 to finish seventh overall followed by Matthys Bourse in 13th(23:56.6), Tommasso Toppi in 27th (24:20.5), Fintan Kavanagh in 41st (24:37.5) and Branch Cox in 69th (25:02.4).
