AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The Amarillo Police Department released information on a fatal Sunday night crash in the 700 block of North Mirror Street, in which a 74-year-old man was hit and killed by a car.
According to police, officers responded to the northbound lanes of the 700 block of North Mirror Street at around 11:20 p.m. Sunday, after a call reporting a hit-and-run crash. Officers found a 74-year-old man lying in the road, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said “preliminary investigations” found the man was pushing a wheelchair and crossing North Mirror Street when he was hit by a car. The car left the scene immediately after the crash.
The crash is under investigation by the Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Department, according to officials, and an autopsy was ordered for the man…
