It’s been a long time coming in Amarillo. Maybe not in the grand scheme of things, I had to stop, chat, and ask him when the store would reopen. but the Chick-fil-A on Georgia has been closed since July. It’s one of those places I drive by a lot and keep an eye on the construction. Amarillo is ready to have it back open.
Months of Waiting Finally Over
I got overjoyed when I drove by on Friday and noticed most of the fencing was down. I knew it had to be getting close. Then I got the word that I really wanted to hear.
A Chance Encounter Leads to Big News
I was in Market Street getting my supplies for my weekend with my granddaughter. As I was aimlessly walking, trying to decide what else I needed in my cart, I got my answer. As I looked up, I noticed the Owner/Operator of the Chick-fil-A on Georgia, Joshua Raef, also grabbing a few things.
I had to stop, chat, and ask him when the store would reopen. The answer was in just a few days. As with most places in Amarillo, there was a little holdup, and he was waiting to get back open. They were supposed to have a ribbon-cutting last week, and that got pushed back to today. It is worth the wait, though.
Then he invited me for a sneak peek. It was a win for both of us. I got to see all the changes from the man himself. He got to pick my brain on the changes for the delivery drivers, since he knows I do that on the side.
What’s New at the Georgia Chick-fil-A
There will be a lot of changes when you first drive in the parking lot. The drive-thru entrance has changed. The parking lot is even easier to navigate. There are 4 order screens for when the weather conditions are not conducive to having the employees outside…
