AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Amarillo City Council voted to accept a piece of art donated by King and Diane Hill.
“The Amarillo Cowboy,” was estimated to be valued at $10,000. The item was presented to the city council several weeks ago, but councilmembers said they wanted to form policy for accepting these types of gifts from the community.

During Tuesday’s city council meeting, council voted to approve those guidelines before accepting the Hill’s donation.
