Officials: No injuries reported in Tuesday small plane crash at Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The Amarillo Fire Department confirmed a King Air plane crash-landed Tuesday morning at Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport, when its landing gear collapsed.

According to officials, a King Air plane was reported as having mechanical issues with its landing gear at around 10:50 a.m. Tuesday. The landing gear was down when the plane flew past the airport tower, before attempting a landing on Runway 22.

During the attempted landing on Runway 22, officials said the plane’s landing gear collapsed. However, despite the crash and its connected “Alert 3” alarm, neither of the two people on board the plane were injured…
