There are many things that baffle me when it comes to Amarillo. The strange legs, the fact that we have a bunch of Cadillacs dug into the ground, etc. However, sometimes it’s not the weird quirks of the city that throw me for a loop.
No, no, leave that to the residents of the city. I’ve seen some of the strangest crimes committed, or at least planned, that I just scratch my head and wonder what they were thinking. This lovely story comes out of Canyon, and yes, it makes me scratch my head.
Walmart Gets A Bit Of Excitement
It all went down on Friday evening, October 17. Shoppers inside the Canyon Walmart are just trying to get the things they need for the weekend, and employees are just trying to make it through the busy crowd that is there on a Friday evening.
One of those employees got an elevated heart rate as they found a note that made them wonder why they were working that evening. It was a bomb threat, written down on a piece of paper. The employee collected themselves and reported it to the police.

Once officers arrived on the scene, they worked to determine if the threat was credible or not. They also needed to determine if they needed to evacuate the store. They decided not to evacuate the store and continue digging into it…
